Celebrating Failure

1) I was very determined to go to every single one of my classes this semester, but then late nights started happening, several papers would be do on the same days, and then I would sleep in, resulting in me regularly missing my first class of the day. I would set alarms early enough for me to get up and get ready in time to make it to class, but alas I still sleep through my alarms.

2) Through this I have learned that in order to succeed and not suck at going to class, I must properly space out my assignments in order to get enough sleep and make it to classes on time so that I have a better chance of doing well in the class.

3) I wouldn't call failure embarrassing because well everyone does it, but it can be easily gotten over. It is difficult to forgive yourself for it though. It stresses you out, but you still have to fight through and keep trying until you believe yourself successful enough to move on with life. This class hasn't really changed the way I think about failure, but more promoted and made me realize I do it right. Like I said in one of my past assignments I just kind of do, and if it doesn't work out I move on with another idea, I think I am pretty mellow when it comes to stuff like that.Image result for failure

  1. Hey, Katie! We have very similar opinions about failure. I too think that it's not something to be embarrassed about since everyone does it. Like you, I also had trouble going to all of my classes. Sleeping is great haha. But anyway, I know you'll be able to learn from your "failure" and improve upon yourself! Nicely done and keep up the good work! Here is the link to my post if you would like to take a look at it: http://nika-uf-ent3003.blogspot.com/2016/04/celebrating-failure.html

  2. Hey Katie!
Great example! I think many of us can relate to that. I definitely know for me that last semester I was gung ho about not missing an of my 7:25 classes for the school year, yet as the semester went on, I probably missed a total of 5-6 classes(oops!). I have recognized in college, as you said, that it is critical to plan and prioritize your time to prevent procrastination. This is easily transferred over to business also. Without proper planning and organization, businesses will crumble. Keep up the great work! 3. Haha sleep is definitely a problem for almost all college students. My rhythm for sleeping has been completely reversed due to my class schedules and all the exams. I sleep in the morning and pretty much wake up when it's dark. Definitely something we should be working on.
