1) Personally I am a more of a "take life as it goes" kind of person, but if I did have a plan for the future, I would what my company to be successful so I could keep it in the family forever or at least until someone in my family sold it or something. I mean I'd still be pretty happy as long as it succeeded for the most part and life was good.
2) Well I mean I guess I kind of explained it above, but I would want to be successful and give my family the option to farther the business after me.
3) I feel like my views and this exit strategy kind of depict who I am as well as how I am going about my business. I am a fairly dedicated and determined human being, but I am also fairly mellow so when things don't go as planned I can typically deal with it and work off of it. I don't know, kind of odd but I can see how this attitude is reflected in both my strategy as well as everything else involved in my business plan.
Katie,
ReplyDeleteI really like that you plan to stay true to who you are throughout the life span of your business. It is interesting that you have such a go with the flow attitude as an entrepreneur, because generally I feel that entrepreneurs are more of the plan everything type. I think that your personality will allow you to be very creative, and to see opportunities that others might miss. That being said, I think you will be able to handle any issue that your company may encounter while you are in charge, and this will keep your business successful for your families members taking over. Great job!

Hey Katie, I actually really like your attitude of going with the flow and taking things one step at time. Sometimes people just get so caught up in the future and what they want to do 20 years from now that they forget to look at what is in front of them at the moment. While I don't really know you, I think you seem like a pretty down to earth person and that is pretty cool. You can check my blog here:

Katie, after snooping around your blog, it seems that you have a cool idea for Floridians like me. You should continue to live in the moment but plan when you need to. It is definitely important to go with the flow, but I interpreted this assignment as one that was supposed to make us think hypothetically.
